the real illegal alien…
Creating an abstract “god” is easy because anyone can cut-and-paste his/her own value and belief system onto it quite well without having to account for any of the specifics. But cutting-and-pasting one’s own value and belief system onto Jesus… well…it simply doesn’t work.
contending for the heart of the Church…
When I die I hope that my epitaph will read, “He contended for the heart and soul of the Church for the sake of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.” I say this because I will never in my life give up my pursuit to divorce Christians from lesser affinities and inferior obsessions that have compromised the very identity of Jesus Christ in the world.
